Since the overwhelming success of Vingt-Six Stations Service, which had been rapidly sold out even before being featured in the book VARIOUS SMALL BOOKS Referencing Various Small Books by Ed Ruscha (edited by Jeff Brouws, Wendy Burton and Hermann Zschiegner), in 2013 and also shown at the Gagosian Gallery, NYC and Museum Brandhorst, Munich, Sechsundzwanzig Fast Leere Strassen is the latest edition of new work by Kai-Olaf Hesse and has just been released in an edition of only 5 copies.This new artist’s book features 26 unique black and white images of almost empty roads photographed in the past couple of years throughout the German landscape. The images have now been printed as finest Ultrachrome HDR inkjet digital prints on Hahnemühle 220gr/sqm Photo Rag© paper.The small book is 134x172mm (the same size as Vingt-Six Stations Service), metal-spiral-bound with flaps and comes in a hand made linen slipcase.
